“How the Himalayan Blackberry Took Over the Pacific Northwest” by Kari Traylor is a timely read. The berries are starting to ripen and along the edges of the trails I walk each day this invasive blackberry reigns supreme! Traylor says, blame Luther Burbank and gives lots of details on how an invasive invades, helped along the way by humans and other living species.
