  Student Food Inquiry Projects

Student food inquiry projects included the following food history topics: BC’s salmon heritage, the history of apples in BC, Italian heritage and how Steveston Fisherman Wharf was established.  Each project is available online for information and also for educators to use as class examples.

The 2012- 2014 contests were made possible through the financial support of THEN/Hier, the Canadian Home Economics Foundation,  THESA (Teachers of Home Economics Specialist Association) and the Canadian Home Economics Foundation. The contests were not held in 2015 and 2016.  Watch for the next Food History contest in September of 2017.
